Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-29
These terms apply to Astercase. Astercase is a product of Paradoc AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Astercase," "we," "us"). It runs on the Asterdoc platform.
Astercase has two parts: the operator app, which organizations and their members use to run cases, and the client portal, which clients use to answer questions, upload documents, sign, and pay. By using either part, you agree to these terms.
1. Accounts
An organization signs up for Astercase and names its members. Members sign in with their own accounts and have the roles the organization gives them. A client signs in with a code sent to their email address.
You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What Astercase does
Astercase helps an organization take in clients, collect what each case needs, prepare documents, get them signed, and take payment. Its AI agent works for the organization and talks with its clients. The agent proposes; a person decides wherever the organization says so.
Nothing leaves the organization without approval. That includes filing a form, making a payment, and messaging someone outside the organization.
3. The organization is responsible for its work
The organization decides which clients it takes on, what it asks them, which documents it files, and what it asks clients to sign. Astercase helps with the work. It does not replace the professional judgment of the organization or its staff. Check what the agent produces before you rely on it.
4. Clients
As a client, you agree to:
- give true and complete answers, and correct them if they change;
- sign only documents you have read, and only as yourself;
- pay only what you owe for your case;
- keep your case code and sign-in link to yourself.
Questions about the content of your case go to the organization that runs it.
5. Credits and fees
Astercase is paid for in credits. An intake uses 1 credit. A case uses 10.
- Pay as you go has no monthly fee. It starts with 80 free credits. After that, you buy credits at $1.50 each.
- Pro costs $100 a month, or $1,000 a year. It includes 130 credits every month. Extra credits cost $1.00 each.
- Included monthly credits reset each month. Credits you buy never expire.
- An intake is charged only once the client has sent 6 messages or uploaded a file, whichever comes first. A case is charged when its workflow opens.
- Credits are shared by the organizations that belong to the same billing organization.
- An organization can set a spend cap for extra credits in a month, and can turn on auto-recharge.
We may change prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to your account.
Credits are not refundable, except where the law requires it and in one more case: if we stop offering Astercase, or close your account without cause, we refund the credits you bought and have not used.
6. Client payments
Clients pay for their cases by card. Payments go to the operator organization's own payment account, not to Astercase. Astercase takes no fee on client payments. The organization's Managers and Admins can refund a client payment.
7. Your content and our use of it
You keep the rights to the content you put into Astercase, including documents, answers, messages, and forms. You give us the rights we need to store and process that content to run Astercase for you.
We do not train AI models on customer data.
How long content is kept, and how deletion works, is set out in the Privacy Notice.
8. Client data we process for you
This section is between Astercase and the organization. Client data is the personal information in the organization's intakes and cases: what clients enter in the client portal, uploads, messages, signatures, and payment records.
- We process client data only for the organization and on its instructions, to run Astercase for it. We do not use it for our own purposes, except to keep the service secure, fix faults, bill the organization, and obey the law.
- The organization is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use client data, and for giving its clients a privacy notice.
- We help the organization answer its clients' requests to access, correct, or delete their information. If a client sends such a request to us, we forward it to the organization.
- We keep client data confidential. We share it only with the service providers named in the Privacy Notice, with people the organization chooses, such as a signer, and with authorities when the law requires it.
- When the organization closes its account, we stop billing it, its members can no longer sign in to it, and we delete its client data within 30 days. This includes open and submitted cases, intakes, uploads, and messages.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Astercase to break the law, to upload material you have no right to share, to try to see another organization's cases, or to interfere with the service or its security. You must not copy, reverse engineer, or resell Astercase except where the law allows it.
10. Third-party services
Astercase connects to services we do not run, such as Google Workspace, the websites of government agencies, and payment processors. Those services have their own terms. A member who connects Google Workspace agrees to Google's terms for that connection.
11. Suspension and ending use
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk. An organization can stop using Astercase at any time. Until it closes its account, its data is kept or deleted under its retention settings and the Privacy Notice. When it closes its account, section 8 applies.
12. Disclaimers and limits
Astercase is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, Astercase is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost business, arising from your use of Astercase.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts in Delaware.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. We post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
